Stevie understands that opening up and being vulnerable with another person can feel scary, especially when we have been carrying so much on our own for so long. She hopes to make that first step a little easier by offering a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients can share their experiences, feel understood, and be met with compassion and care.
Stevie takes an integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to counselling, drawing from narrative therapy, somatic approaches, parts work, grief therapy, and existential therapy. She is also certified in OEI Level 1 (Observed Experiential Integration), an approach that incorporates eye movements and visual pathways in trauma-informed work. She works collaboratively with clients, honouring their individual experiences, values, and needs as they make sense of their stories, reconnect with their strengths, and discover new ways of moving forward.
Stevie is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. She has a particular interest in supporting people navigating grief and loss, as well as the questions that can arise during difficult seasons of life: Who am I? What matters to me? Where do I go from here? She also works with clients experiencing stress, relationship concerns, questions of identity and spirituality, and the lasting effects of past experiences.
Wherever you find yourself in life, you are welcome here. Whether you are working through something painful, searching for clarity, or simply needing a place to pause and catch your breath, Stevie invites you to bring whatever is on your heart and mind. You don't need to have all the words or know where to begin; you can start right where you are.
