Myrne Goulding believes that each person is the expert of their own life and the author of their own story. An encourager at heart, Myrne thinks that everyone has unique strengths and resources, and she takes great pleasure in uncovering these qualities. In keeping with this, she strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space for people to show up as they are, and to feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, they consider the client’s strengths and resources with the intricacies of their story and uncover a path toward insight, healing, and wholeness.

Myrne has her Masters in Social Work and is registered with the BCCSW (British Columbia College of Social Work.) Prior to engaging in private practice therapy, Myrne spent over 25 years working with youth and adults in the non-profit sector. She took on many different roles - from youth worker to staff coach, trainer to counsellor.

Myrne is a cancer survivor and brings this, together with other life experiences, into her practice. Her approach can be described as collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered. Her couple’s work is informed by Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
