Janessa Charlton recognizes that it often takes courage to pursue change and entrust someone to support you along the way. She is honoured to be part of your healing journey.

Janessa approaches counselling with an unwavering belief in each person's capacity for self-discovery, growth, and positive change. Her experience supporting others in the midst of joy and tribulation has reinforced her belief in the resilience and internal resources each person can develop. First and foremost, Janessa sees people as human beings who are inherently worthy of love, dignity, and respect. She strives to create a warm and welcoming space in which people feel seen and valued as they are, and empowered to pursue the changes they desire.

Janessa uses an integrative approach to meet the unique needs of each person, often drawing inspiration from emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and internal family systems therapy. Janessa is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and couples with a variety of goals.
