About Us Registered Therapists

Jackie Tsang

Jackie Tsang believes real peace or satisfaction in life rests upon the meaningful connections with self, others and the world. Based on this orientation, Jackie meets her clients where they are at and works collaboratively with them to discover their internal strengths and resources in order to facilitate ongoing personal growth and self-awareness. With a safe space and positive regard, her clients find their true selves that they ultimately embrace and appreciate. From the fundamental lens of a systemic framework, each person is understood and valued in the context of his/her family of origin and social network.

Jackie is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, Play Therapy, Satir Model in the Sand Tray, EMDR, and Neufeld’s Attachment Theory. Mindfulness has also emerged as Jackie’s practice with herself and her clients. She has worked with people experiencing loss and grief, trauma (PTSD), domestic violence, marital conflicts, depression and anxiety, as well as children with abuse, OCD, separation anxiety, anger issue and acculturation. Jackie highly values and practices self-care regularly to care for her clients.

Jackie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with BCACC. She is a CVAP (Crime Victim Assistance Program) counselling service provider and also has been working with ICBC cases.

Jackie speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Jackie loves nature, dogs, singing, music, concerts, travelling, exercise, arts and crafts, coffee with friends, dim sum with families, and books. Life seems too short for her to fit all these in.
